Thank you to all who participated and our volunteers. A special thank you to Qld Parks & Wildlife Services for allowing us to use the lake and a BIG THANK YOU to Bill & Leanne at the Lake Barrine Teahouse for assisting us with placement of the marker buoys once again.
A total of 102 swimmers participated across the three events. This is the largest number of participants at any of our open water swims yet. Our clubs main goal is simply to increase participation in open water swimming in the Far North and it is very satisfying to know that we are achieving this.
We received some wonderful feedback from swimmers on the day which we are always glad to hear as we know there is always room for improvement.
Our next open water event will be in September with the start of the Spring Open Water Series. Please check our website in August for the list of dates and venues.
Throughout the winter months the Mudcrabs go into hibernation but maintain weekly training sessions at Gordonvale Pool on Sunday morning between 9:15-10:30am. Swim programs will be available if a coach is not on deck. Stay and enjoy morning tea after your swim .
